One of those ways can be through giving to the United Way campaign. Your single contribution can help fellow citizens by supporting more than 39 programs and initiatives throughout our region that our working to make our community better. I know you are concerned that your dollars go where they are needed. I can assure you that they do. About 88 cents of every doallar collected by United Way goes directly to agency programs that are proven to help people and make a difference in people's lives. That makes United Way one of the most cost-effective organizations.
